Firstlight Minimum Requirements and Device Compatibility

Q1. What are the minimum hardware and software requirements needed for my device to run the app?

A1.  Any iPhone that works with iOS 13 and newer is compatible. Those devices are: SE, 6s, 6s plus, 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus, X, Xr, Xs, Xs Max, 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

TIP: If you have one of these devices and are experiencing an issue, check Settings > General > Software Update to confirm that your device is running the latest iOS version and to update to the latest version.

Q2. I have an older iOS device, are there any device compatibility concerns?

A2.  While we try to develop the app to be as compatible as possible with every device, some special instances exist with some incompatibilities. We apologize if your device is subject to any of the following limitations. 

— Ultra wide lens and support only on 11 series - While the app is compatible with Apple’s ultra wide lens, please note that this lens hardware is available only on the iPhone 11 and 11 pro.

— iPhone X and older and HDR - The in-app HDR feature is not compatible with this device. HDR is available for use with the iPhone Xs, Xs Max and Xr series or newer.

— iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE and HEIC - The in-app HEIC format is not compatible with this device. Please use a 7 or newer device as listed above.

— DNG (Raw) and HDR simultaneous use - The app is not compatible with the use of DNG and HDR simultaneously.
